Pride in Motion is Pride Academy’s Afterschool Program for school age children (5 to 11 years) who need child care before & after school and spring & winter break. In addition to homework time, academic tutoring, life skills and personal enrichment, this program offers children a wide variety of engaging, fun and educational activities.
Pride in Motion Kids are engaged in staff-led Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEaM) activities every day. Kids are encouraged to work on computers daily, playing on educational computer programs. The kids conduct science experiments each week and they work on the Pride Academy garden every day it is in season. PA kids have regular opportunities to play with LEGO® MINDSTORMS®, a LEGO building system with the most advanced technology to create and command robots that walk, talk, think and do anything the kids imagine can imagine.
Pride Academy also partners with other youth program providers, bringing wonderful education programs to the Pride Academy campuses for all our children to partake. Below are the FREE program opportunities for your child.
Keith Boggs, owner of Broad Ripple Martial Art Academy, instruct kids in fundamental karate skills that help to increase attention span, motor control, awareness, and discipline. Karate is taught as physical, emotional fitness, mental & spiritual development. Karate boosts the physical fitness as the whole body is exercised and the entire muscular system is activated. Karate also provides mental health – self-esteem, self-control, emotional and spiritual well-being. All are welcome to participate and we encourage parent involvement in all activities.
